You may have heard the song that goes “You may not get what you want; but you find sometimes, that you get what you need.” We can all relate to those words in many ways and even add, “you may get what you want, but you may find sometimes that it‘s NOT what you need.”
This isn’t another self-help method or another “get-rich-quick” scheme. This is a message.
This is the message, “You can have what you want, which is actually what you need.”
This message is NOT about having your every whim and impulse satisfied. Some of the worst mistakes ever made are those made when we think fulfilling an impulse of the moment will get us what we want.
This message is NOT about “wanting” things that you don’t really “want”, but about “wanting” things that nothing else can compare to.
Don’t you want an abundant life?
“I came that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.” -Jesus
Don’t you want eternal life?
“He who believes in me, though he die, will live again.” -Jesus
Don’t you want happiness? Jesus spoke a whole message on happiness. Here are some excerpts of that message:
“Happy is he who mourns now…” “Happy is he who hungers now…” “Happy is he who thirsts now…” “Happy are you when men persecute you…"
Don’t you want PEACE?
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” ~Jesus
Don’t you want JOY?
“This is my commandment that you love one another that your joy might be full…”
Don’t you want your faults forgiven?
“Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Do you want these things? Then you need to turn from your ways and go to God.
The WAY?
"Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
