You may not be coming to check on this blog regularly. This is because we haven't been posting...
However, something has happened in our lives that cannot be kept secret. Something amazing, and miraculous.
As most of you know, my wife and I have been married 12+ years and we have been trying to have children this whole time. We have all but given up, but we kept our hope.
It started when Dana was feeling fatigued. OK, no big deal, a lot of sicknesses were going around and she thought she was fighting it off. Also, she was feeling crampy, and it was passed time for her menstrual period, but that has happened many times. Then this morning, she was feeling strangely ill. She tried to puke but nothing came up. Weird, I thought, "Morning Sickness"? No it couldn't be; we'd seen her in a similar condition in the past and there was no reason.
I mentioned taking a pregnancy test before I left for my interview this morning.
The interview went well. I called Dana and let her know I was coming home. She was acting strangely. I was wondering.
When I got home, she was all dressed up and so was I because I just got back from my interview.
I asked, "Why are you dressed up?"
"I have some news." She says.
I'm thinking, "No way."
She tells me to close my eyes and leads me over to a little white, plastic stick.
"It's impossible."
From there I cannot tell you the rest of the dialog. There was a lot of exclamations coming from my mouth (all holy). I do know that I repeated "I can't believe it" more times than would be tolerable to a rational person. But you understand I could not be rational after praying 12 years, and being clinically "infertile".
WHAT IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN, IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
